La soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Cessna a alors d\u00e9cid\u00e9 qu&#8217;il avait besoin d&#8217;une haute performance, notamment d&#8217;un jet de taille moyenne pour rivaliser avec la croissance du march\u00e9 des avions d&#8217;affaires rapides. Pour d\u00e9velopper un tel a\u00e9ronef, Cessna est parti de z\u00e9ro pour la cr\u00e9ation du design, plut\u00f4t que de construire un appareil sur la ligne de conduite du citation existant. Le d\u00e9veloppement du Citation III a commenc\u00e9 en 1978 avec un premier prototype effectuant son vol inaugural le 30 mai 1979, puis un second volant le 2 mai 1980. Apr\u00e8s un programme d&#8217;essais en vol, l&#8217;avion a re\u00e7u sa Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) le 30 Avril, 1982. Le nouveau citation est un jet d&#8217;affaires bon march\u00e9 qui met \u00e0 disposition une cabine confortable et des co\u00fbts d&#8217;exploitation limit\u00e9s, mais aussi une vitesse et une port\u00e9e satisfaisantes.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Cet appareil continue de voler et reste une alternative moyen courrier tr\u00e8s utilis\u00e9e par les dirigeants d\u2019entreprise notamment.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Caract\u00e9ristiques commerciales:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">L&#8217;avion est pilot\u00e9 par deux pilotes, et gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa configuration \u00e0 haute densit\u00e9, il peut accueillir jusqu&#8217;\u00e0 11 passagers. La cabine a \u00e9t\u00e9 con\u00e7ue en int\u00e9grant des fauteuils inclinables et pivotants, munis d&#8217;appuis-t\u00eate et de repose-pieds r\u00e9glables.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">En 1983, apr\u00e8s la livraison d&#8217;appareils \u00e0 des clients, le Citation III a \u00e9tabli plusieurs records, y compris deux records de vitesse d&#8217;ascension (taux de mont\u00e9e) et un record de vitesse globale de 5 heures, 13 minutes pour un vol de Gander, Terre-Neuve \u00e0 Paris &#8211; A\u00e9roport Le Bourget. La production a continu\u00e9 pendant neuf ans, jusqu&#8217;en 1992, avec un total de 202 Citation III en cours de construction.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><strong>Caract\u00e9ristiques techniques:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Le Citation III est aliment\u00e9 par une paire de Garrett TFE731-3B turbor\u00e9acteurs relativement \u00e9conomiques. Il peut effectuer une distance de 3774 km \u00e0 la vitesse de 875 km\/h.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">De plus, le Cessna Citation IV est annonc\u00e9 en 1989 comme \u00e9volution du Cessna Citation III. Il devrait poss\u00e9der des r\u00e9servoirs plus grands, ainsi que des modifications pour am\u00e9liorer sa performance \u00e0 atterrir et d\u00e9coller sur des pistes courtes, dans le but de lui permettre de se poser sur davantage d&#8217;a\u00e9roports.
